With the dramatic revival of filmmaking in Singapore, our cinematic talents are creating a buzz worldwide. We show you what they have to offer...

Singapore is proving to be a fertile ground for developing exportable media content. Its rich cultural backdrop acts as a kaleidoscope of inspiration, fuelling creative output with international appeal. Singapore’s growing success in the worldwide film industry attests to this, with homegrown films such as Sandcastle, HERE, My Magic, Hashi and The Blue Mansion selected for and receiving accolades at acclaimed film festivals like the Cannes Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam and Pusan International Film Festival.

Collaborative efforts between local and international film companies have made similar progressive inroads in the industry. Some of the notable co-productions include:

  • Bait, Singapore's first co-production with Australia on a 3D Stereoscopic platform; participating companies include Arclight films, Blackmagic Design (Singapore), Pictures in Paradise and Story Bridge Films.
  • One Last Dance, co-produced by Singapore’s MediaCorp Raintree Pictures and China’s Ming Productions, and selected to compete at the Sundance Film Festival.
  • The Missing Star, co-produced by Singapore’s Oak3 Films and Italy’s Cattleya that competed at the Venice International Film Festival.
