Eye Pixel Visual Effects is my little dream,the one i believed that i can push the commercial standard to balance the film production quality. I am graduated in Egg Story Digital Arts School, Diploma in visual effects.I have a diploma in graphic design (1997) and have worked a few years in an advertising firm.I also have worked experience in Double Negative. My love of visual effects comes from my experiences in this advertising firm, where my exposure to computer graphics and graphic design taught me that beautifully animated visuals can bring out life and character as compared to still pictures. I pursued this interest and took up a course in multimedia studies (2005) to explore this. I went on to experiment in video and pursued this love of video and computer visuals. I am keen in the study of visual effects from my interest in Hollywood movies and productions such as “The Matrix,” “Transformers," and “The day the earth stood still.” Because I believe visual effects can help me achieve the visuals that are extraordinarily breathtaking and unique. I admire the use of compositing in “The Matrix,” such as their fantastic characters and exaggerated interaction with their environment, in “Transformers” the way the huge robots can blend well into the set. Also in “The Day The Earth Stood Still” the destructive scenes of the Alien robotic creature laying waste to the Earth. So from these sources of inspiration, I hope to emulate some of the effects that I have seen, such as 3d modeled objects compositing with real sets, and developing effects and visuals that are revolutionary and new that are breathtaking and fresh. From my current studies of visual effects, I have learned 3D modeling in Maya, Mental Ray Renderer in Maya, and After Effects compositing. Personally I have also experimented in the use of Green Screen. So after delving into visual effects, I feel more passionate because I feel I am nearer to achieving my dream of high quality visuals, and have the skills to start experimenting more. And with my experience thus far, I believe I am suitable for the industry because I am really passionate about experimentation and willing to try new ideas, and taking on challenges. I believe that these are qualities that can help me in the industry. I have researched into the field of Visual Effects, by looking at behind the scenes from films, attending conferences such as “Siggraph Asia,” and talking to the President of my current school Nickson Fong, who has worked on the film “The Matrix” Visual Effects. I have created several projects, such as my school final project which is a 3D production of a car advertisement, with photo realistic style.
