Singapore Party Draws Scores of International Media and Partners

At the Singapore Party held at Cannes last Friday, Dr Tan Chin Nam, Chairman, Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA), highlighted the co-creation opportunities available in Singapore and reiterated MDA’s wish to collaborate with more international partners on co-productions.

In his opening remarks, Dr Tan urged the international media community to partner with Singapore to take advantage of the myriad growth opportunities in the region.

New MDA-Tiger Gate Fund for Multi-Platform Projects Announced

Media producers in Singapore and around the world can now tap another initiative for film and television projects.

The Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) and Tiger Gate Entertainment announced in Cannes last Friday their strategic partnership to co-invest in a slate of action, horror and thriller projects for worldwide television and film releases over the next four years.

MDA and Hyde Park Collaborate on Film Financing Reality TV Series

A novel reality series that gets behind the scenes of film financing and production will hit the small screen in Singapore at the end of the year.

The Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) will team up with Hyde Park Entertainment on the two-parter, entitled Project Pitching and Development with Ashok, or Project PDA for short.

Announced at Cannes on Saturday, the series will have teams vying for a prestigious internship with the Hyde Park Group in Hollywood. They will pitch their film concepts to a panel of judges, comprising leading Singapore filmmakers and Mr Ashok Amritraj, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hyde Park Entertainment, and compete with one another on challenging tasks.
