Media Development Authority of Singapore appoints Distribution Workshop as sales agent for new International Film Fund

Following the launch of its new International Film Fund (IFF) at the start of the Cannes Film Market, the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) yesterday announced the appointment of Hong Kong’s Distribution Workshop as the worldwide sales agent for the first batch of films produced under the IFF.

“We are delighted to partner Distribution Workshop, which brings on board the international sales expertise and network to introduce our upcoming IFF projects to audiences worldwide,” said Dr Christopher Chia, MDA’s Chief Executive Officer.

The new International Film Fund, which encourages projects to be shot in and out of Singapore, will invest in projects ranging from animation, live-action features to post-production projects. It aims to bring together Singapore-based firms and international talents to create films of worldwide appeal.
