China, Singapore Forge Closer Media Ties
Day two of MIPTV saw Singapore forging closer ties with China in the media arena. China's State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television (SARFT) Vice Minister Tian Jin yesterday met with Mr Chan Yeng Kit, the Permanent Secretary for Singapore's Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA), along with MDA officials such as Dr Christopher Chia, CEO, Mr Yeo Chun Cheng, CIO and Director (Broadcast and Music) and Ms Cassandra Tay, Director (Communications and International & Community Relations). China is keen to collaborate with Singapore not just on productions but also in terms of events participation. Vice-Minister Tian also dropped by the Singapore Pavilion later in the day and learnt more about Singapore media companies.
